Two months

IMG_1132

Happy two months Lee! This month has just flown by. I was amazed looking at Lee’s pictures at the beginning of this month compared to the end of the month and seeing how much he grew. Here is what Lee has been up to this month:

Weight: 11 lbs. 6 oz. He’s now in the 50th percentile and is making his way up the charts. At his two week appointment he was in the 10th percentile. He had a lot of growing to do to catch up with the full term babies he’s being compared to!

Length: 22 1/2 inches. He’s in the 48th percentile here.

Clothing: Lee is wearing 3 month outfits and can still wear some newborn outfits. We moved to size one diapers in the middle of this month.

Feeding: Lee is still breastfeeding every three hours during the day. We usually start about 7 am and end with the last feeding at 10 pm. Lee still has reflux and spits up ALL the time. It still doesn’t bother him too much. It’s the worst if he has a bad episode after his last feeding before bedtime. The doctor still doesn’t recommend putting him on medicine though because it won’t stop the spitting up and he is still gaining weight just fine.

Sleep: Lee started sleeping through the night this month! He sleeps from around 11 pm until 7 am. This made mommy and daddy VERY happy! We weren’t trying to get him to do it, he just decided he would one night a couple weeks ago. Actually, we went to the mall with Cara and Grayson (Grayson and Lee are little buddies only 3 days apart) and Cara was telling me how Grayson was sleeping through the night for about 8 hours. I was so impressed and thought it would be weeks before we reached that point. I guess Lee must have been listening to us talking and he decided that night that he would try to sleep through the night too. He decided if Grayson could do it, he could too!

Activities: Lee has been practicing his tummy time a lot this month. He is getting so much better at holding up his head. He is also much more alert and able to stay awake longer and focus on objects. He still enjoys sitting in his swing but now he really loves watching the mobile too. Lee has started smiling at us and it of course just melts our hearts!

One Month

IMG_1004

It’s hard to believe that our little boy is one month old! We are having so much fun with Lee. He is such a joy and blessing to us. Here are a few facts about Lee at one month.

Weight: 8 lbs. 13 oz. We were a little astonished by the fact that Lee gained 2 lbs in two weeks (the doctor was surprised too). What can I say, the boy likes to eat!

Clothing: Still wearing newborn onesies and diapers.

Feeding: Breastfeeding every three hours…pretty much on the dot. Lee likes his schedule. He just might be type A like his mommy and daddy. We think that Lee has a little bit of reflux. The doctor said it’s not bad enough to put him on medicine especially since he’s gaining weight so well.

Sleep: We try to get Lee to sleep longer at night, but usually he only makes it 3 1/2 to 4 hours between one of his feedings at night. Cole is giving Lee a bottle for one of the night feedings so I can get a little more sleep. Thank you dear! Lee is still sleeping in the pack n’ play in our room. He sleeps well and doesn’t cry unless he’s hungry. We are discovering the Lee is a VERY noisy baby. Partly due to his reflux, he grunts a lot at night. The doctor said it sounds worse than it really is. I was glad to hear him say that because I was getting worried there for a while.

Activities: Lee loves his Baby Einstein play mat. He will look at the lights on the music box and just move his arms and legs around. He also loves his My Little Lamb swing. But mostly, Lee loves being held and loved on! We have also taken Lee on some outings. We have been to North Park, out to eat, Babies R Us and Target. He is a trooper on our outings and just sleeps most of the time.
